Palm Drive Health Care District was formed in April 2000 to manage Sebastopol’s Palm Drive Hospital, which originally opened in 1939. Palm Drive Health Care District serves the approximately 50,000 people who live in western Sonoma County, including the communities of Sebastopol, Graton, Forestville, Bodega Bay, Carmet, Salmon Creek, Jenner, Duncan’s Mills, Guerneville, Occidental, Freestone, Rio Nido, Monte Rio, Guernewood Park, Summerhome and Mirabel Park.

Formed in 2000, as a means to supervise Sebastopol’s long-running Palm Drive Hospital, the district now serves 50,000 people throughout western Sonoma County, including, Graton, Forestville, Bodega Bay, Occidental and Freestone. Managed by a publicly elected Board of Directors, Palm Drive Health Care District (PDHCD) has been empowered by the State Legislature to provide a wide range of community-based health services.
Board meetings, which take place the first Monday of each month at 5:30PM, are open to the public, and often conducted in the conference room at Sonoma Specialty Hospital. *Governing Body meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month.
